Senior Corporate Attorney | Chicago, IL | Hybrid

Our client, a national Am Law 200 firm , is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Attorney to join its growing Chicago transactional practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney who enjoys sophisticated deal work, direct client interaction, and a collaborative environment with a reasonable billable-hour expectation.

Responsibilities

The attorney will advise clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Purchase and sale agreements
• Corporate governance matters
• Operating and organizational agreements
• Commercial and supply agreements
• Joint ventures and other strategic transactions
• General corporate and compliance matters
• Structuring and negotiating business transactions
• Advising clients throughout the transaction lifecycle

The attorney will have meaningful client contact and will be expected to take an active role in negotiating transactions and providing practical, business-focused counsel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of corporate and transactional experience
• Strong M&A and general corporate background
• Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated transaction documents
• Ability to independently manage matters and interact directly with clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Business development experience is a plus
• Active Illinois Bar admission and in good standing

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $225,000-$300,000, depending on experience
• Annual discretionary bonus
• 1,900 billable-hour requirement
